- Includes diagnosis and management of movement dysfunction and enhancement of physical and functional abilities; restoration, maintenance, and promotion of optimal physical function, optimal fitness and wellness, and optimal quality of life as it relates to movement and health; and prevention of the onset, symptoms, and progression of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that may result from diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries.
Massage Therapy
- Is used to provide muscle relaxation, increase local circulation, and soften scar tissue. The techniques includes effleurage (stroking), petrissage (compression), and/or tapotement (percussion).
Manual Therapy
- Includes soft tissue and joint mobilization, manipulation, manual traction, and/or manual lymphatic drainage to one or more areas.
Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner
- Kinesio Taping is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process, support and stabilize the muscles and joints, reeducate the neuromuscular system, reduce pain and inflammation, enhance performance, prevent injury, promote good circulation, and assist in returning the body to homeostasis through the application of a Kinesio Tape on a patient of any age.
The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy
- Is a comprehensive approach to the spine based on sound principles and fundamentals that when understood and followed accordingly are very successful. In fact, most remarkable, but least appreciated, is the McKenzie assessment process. Unique to the McKenzie Method is a well-defined algorithm that leads to the simple classification of spinal-related disorders. It is based on a consistent "cause and effect" relationship between historical pain behavior as well as the pain response to repeated test movements, positions and activities during the assessment process. A systematic progression of applied mechanical forces (the cause) utilizes pain response (the effect) to monitor changes in motion/function. The underlying disorder can then be quickly identified through objective findings for each individual patient. The McKenzie classification of spinal pain provides reproducible means of separating patients with apparently similar presentations into definable sub-groups (syndromes) to determine appropriate treatment.
Graston Technique
- Is an innovative, evidence-based form of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) that enables clinicians to detect and effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, as well as maintain optimal range of motion. The Instruments we use detect and amplify the feel of soft tissue restrictions to the hands, similar to how a stethoscope amplifies the sound of a heartbeat.
Free Transportation
- Pick-up and drop-off is provided for a limited number of patients who has some transportation issues. Please give us a call to verify if you are eligible for this service.
